Inclusive Digital Growth Through Collaboration

In Africa, digital skills have predominantly been within the affordability of larger corporate entities due to their financial capacity, leaving Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at a disadvantage. However, the application of advanced digital skills has the potential to revolutionize sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, manufacturing, and services, enabling MSMEs to build technology driven business models that foster sustainable development in Africa. Afretec recognizes the critical need to democratize access to advanced digital skills among African MSMEs.To address this pressing need, Afretec has launched the Tech Skills Marketplace – MSME Internship Program.

This initiative aims to empower promising MSMEs in Africa by facilitating the hiring of talented tech-student interns for a 3-month period, virtually or in-person. In partnership with Afretec Universities, this internship program has the potential to be rolled out across Africa and enable MSMEs to access advanced digital skills that were previously financially unaffordable.
